The Hunchback of Notre Dame

As Reviewed by James Brundage

Though this Disney film contains many darker themes and darker moments than its predecesors, it is a good film overall. It does contain points that little children probably won't be able to understand, but could be found offensive, such as the villan, Frollo (Tony Jay), expressing his lust for a gypsy, Esmerelda (Demi Moore), in the song "Hellfire". The plot is that of Quasimoto, the bell-ringer of Notre Dame, who's mother was killed by Frollo in the beginning of the movie, and that of his alienation from the rest of Paris. His desire to be with other people has him go to the Festival of Fools, where he meets Esmerlda and Phebis (Kevin Klein), but ends up being pelted by tomatoes.
